whistleblower 吹哨者，

舉發不法或不好行為事件的人，有一說法源自19世紀的警察看到犯罪現場會先吹哨子示警，1970年代，美國公民運動者 Ralph Nader 使用這個名詞代替過去用來稱呼舉報者，但是帶有負面貶義的 informer 跟 snitch。
